Looks like they’re doing maintenance on the PTR today. We get a new patch and a few new changes.
Faerie Fire (Feral) now deals [15% of AP + 1] damage. (Up from [5% of AP + 1])
Celestial Focus now reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attacks while casting Starfire, Hibernate and Hurricane by 23/46/75% and increases your total spell haste by 1/2/3%. (Old – Affected Cyclone instead of Hurricane)
So, hurricane got added to celestial focus (like we asked), making it an even better PvE talent, possibly in favor of dropping Owlkin Frenzy from PvE specs. Hey, we’re not supposed to stand in the fire in the first place! No PvP moonkin fixes in sight (sorry, guys!).
For Faerie Fire, since we’re going to be casting it less often, having the more up-front threat generation on pulls is going to benefit feral druid tanking.
There is also a new weapon enchant, that looks like it was supposed to be a tanking enchant, but how many fights would it actually be useful? Not very many. It looks more pvp-oriented than anything. I mean, it’s a “sometimes” proc, that requires you to be low 35% health before it does anything for you at all:
Enchant Weapon – Blood Draining – Permanently enchants your weapon to sometimes grant Blood Reserve when striking an enemy or inflicting damage with bleed attacks. When you fall below 35% health, Blood Reserve restores 1750 to 2250 health. This enchantment requires the wielder is at least level 75.
Not sure how great this is, but it’s something. The number crunchers are going to have to look at this one, to see if it’s worth using instead of just Mongoose . However, there isn’t much positive feedback (and a ton of negative feedback) on the tanking forums about it. Maybe it’s supposed to be a PvP enchant? Honestly, agility is such a great tanking stat, that we really aren’t going to be using anything else.
