Healing guide update – Page 6 added!

I’m back into the swing of things already, and have a pretty quick healing guide update.

I added on page 6 of my healing guide.  I’m putting it up on my blog before releasing it to the live forums, since I should reward you guys for actually reading my site. :)

As usual, feel free to leave feedback on it in this post and I can update things as needed.

This new page includes information on set bonuses and the idol/relics available to PvE healing druids in 3.1. Keep in mind that I’m trying to cater to people who may OR may not have access to 25-man Ulduar, so I’m trying to be more fair and practical in my assessment of the set bonuses. With the relic system, there appears to pretty much be a complete lack of choices.

I’m liking the T8 bonuses. I never really cared for the T7 2-piece bonus after they changed it to benefit Lifebloom, but what with the changes to the spell in 3.1, I’ll presumably cherish it more.

As for relics … The only reason I got the Idol of Lush Moss was to get the ‘Superior’ achievement, and have been using the Idol of Pure Thoughts (the Venture Bay one) since level ~74. I am however looking forward to the Idol of Awakening, as Rejuvenation in 99% of cases comes out as my #1 heal (heroics, Sarth10/25, VoA10/25 and Naxx10). This idol coupled with the T8 4-piece bonus makes Rejuvenation an even better raid heal. I like it a lot.

I’ll be resto as my second spec. For now, my idol choices are from BC: Emerald Queen (47 SP to Lb over-time), Harold’s (86 SP to Rejuv) or Raven Goddess (44 SP to all heals while in ToL).

I’m thinking that IotRG is a no-brainer selection from this list unless:

    – There is a fight where I spend a lot of time outside of ToL (perhaps I need to root/hibernate/cyclone for some reason?)

    – Rejuv ends up being something over 50% of my healing done. I don’t expect this to happen, but I suppose it is possible for some particular fight.

IotRG even seems competitive with Lush Moss, depending on how much of our healing is from Lifebloom.

I’m pretty sure that the Raven Goddess idol stopped working for tree-form healing when WotLK came out. Oh wait, I think it actually seems to be working on the PTR for 3.1. It’s still probably not worth using over the rejuv idol that will help a lot with mana efficiency…
