About Lissanna

Lissanna is my druid currently on the Elune server. My druid’s original home was on Cenarion Circle, but I transferred her off during BC. I did a 6 month-ish time period on the Sentinels server, before settling on Elune. My druid’s dualspec is Restoration & Moonkin.  I primarily filled healing roles in raids from the original raiding in Molten Core all the way through most of the WotLK expansion. In Cataclysm, I raided more as a moonkin.

I am currently raiding on a pandaren mage on the Elune server, named Lissanda. I am raiding as frost right now, though I have been slowly learning other mage talent specializations.

In real life, I graduated in Summer of 2012 with a PhD in developmental psychology. I am currently a lecturer and post-doctoral fellow. I study children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. In graduate school, I studied language development, including interventions designed to improve language abilities. In my post-doc, I am examining face processing abilities and the developing brain in adolescents with and without autism. I have been learning more about video game research, and my future research directions will involve building educational video games to help improve face processing and social skills in adolescents and adults.

Elune, that’s an appropriate server for you! Thank you for the guides! You helped me get my boomkin prepared for my guild’s first post-5.0 patch raid.

I leave WoW for a few months and the first place I come to before returning for Pandas is your site…and its all new and sparkly! :) Thanks for your fabulous and simplified insights on how to make it as druid healer. I’m glad you’re still here. :)

This site looks so awesome :) I have a little spare time during my school break and I wanted to work on leveling up my 36 druid. I was interesting in leveling her up as a bear tank. In your leveling guide the link for guardian leveling is dead. This makes me a sad panda because the tips you give on the other specs are very good. Just wanted to give a heads up.

Being the mother of a child with autism, and an avid gamer, I am excited to see what you are working on in real life. I’ve been coming to this site for years and only recently discovered what it is that you do. Thank you so much for your dedication to this site, and to your real life work!
